The Six Meter AM Repeater System

This repeater system is a split site repeater, with the 6 meter AM receiver located in High Ridge, MO, and the 6 meter AM transmitter located in Barnhart, MO.
The High Ridge Site consists of a UHF FM repeater connected to a 6 meter AM receiver. The Barnhart site consists of a UHF FM receiver connected to a 6 meter AM transmitter.

The High Ridge Six Meter AM Receiver and UHF Repeater System

This equipment receives 50.400 mhz AM, Carrier Squelch, and at 449.750 mhz, with a PL Decode at 192.8 hz. Both Receivers re-transmit at 444.750 mhz with a PL Encode at 192.8 hz. The 6 meter AM repeater cabinet shares space with the 146.925 mhz 2 meter duplexer.

Equipment consists of a RCI Ranger RCI-5054DX Radio which is used as the 6 meter AM receiver. There is a military surplus 6 meter 4 helical coil, band pass filter, in line to the receiver and antenna.

The 6 meter receiver, and the UHF repeater receiver, are re-transmitted by a Vertex VXR-5000 UHF Repeater with 30 watts output.

The Barnhart Six Meter AM Repeater Transmitter System

This equipment receives the High Ridge 6 Meter AM receiver at 444.750 mhz, with a PL Decode at 192.8 hz. The repeater re-transmits at 50.500 mhz AM.

Equipment consists of a RCI Ranger RCI-5054DX Radio which is used as the 6 meter AM Driver. It puts out 8 watts AM and modulation swings to 15 watts output. The RCI-5054DX Drives a modified Mirage M-1015G 6 Meter RF Amplifier to the antenna. The M-1015G RF output is around 80 watts, and modulation swings to 150 watts.

The Link Receiver is a Vertex FTL-7011-24 Commercial Business Radio. The Mirage 6 meter AM Amplifier is powered by a Astron RM-50M power supply. At the top of the rack is a Vertex UHF repeater for GRMS use. It has nothing to do with the 6 meter transmitter, other than it has a backup battery supply, and it powers the Vertex transceiver and the RCI-5054DX. If AC power goes down the 6 meter transmitter will stay on at 10 watts output.
